Ok, well, I got into the National Junior Honor Society and we have an induction ceremony soon. I bought this dress already but I was wondering if this dress would be appropriate or should I wear something else?

Its a lovely dress! Seems fine 
you could wear a shrug with it that matches your bag and accessories, too. If you are worried about the length, wear a pair of black/natural tights to accompany the dress.
