What should I use to paint previously painted hardwood doors - want to match dark brown satin finish, opaque.?
I can't find a product to match previously-painted doors. Dark brown opaque, satin finish. Must be exterior and suitable for hardwoods.
you need a good base. first of all either use paint stripper or hot air gun to remove old satin finish off the doors. The sand down until smooth. Next you need a good brown primer and undercoat. Then 2 coats of your chosen gloss or if you are varnishing, after removing and sanding, get a knotting laquer first and then use your chosen varnish
